Expanding its interests in the areas of cellular evolution and development, deNovo Biologic has discovered unique patterns of tertiary self-organization in the Gram-positive eubacterium Staphylococcus epidermidis that mimic patterns of tertiary self-organization observed in multicellular eukaryotic tissues. deNovo Biologic is actively collaborating with other laboratories to research and understand the potential biological, biomedical, and biotechnological implications of this novel multicellular eukaryotic-like "tissue" development in bacteria. |
